2 New Magic: The Gathering Legendary Creatures From Zendikar Rising Revealed

The offiical Zendikar Rising previews continue to reveal new Magic: The Gathering cards from the upcoming set today, and now Wizards of the Coast has revealed new rare cards including two new legendary creatures: Charix, the Raging Isle and Verazol, the Split Current. Here they are:

Charix, the Raging Isle

This legendary 0/17 Leviathan Crab is a strong defensive creature that's hard to kill, and can be an effective sideboard against creature-heavy decks that don't pack a lot of removal. You will need a lot of Islands to give Charix a lot of power, but in a mono-blue deck, that shouldn't be a problem.

Verazol, the Split Current

Verazol enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter for each mana used to cast it.
Whenever you cast a kicked spell, you may remove two +1/+1 counters from Verazol. If you do, copy that spell. You may choose new targets for that copy.

It's not as viable as Hydroid Krasis but in a right build with a good amount of Kicker spells, you can get a lot of value from this card. I just hope Zendikar Rising will have enough Kicker spells that synergize well with this legendary creature.
