It has been two months since the second season of Your Honor has ended, but Showtime has yet to renew the series. As the show has become an instant favorite, will fans again see Bryan Cranston as the loving father and judge Michael Desiato in Your Honor Season 3?

Cranston once said that Your Honor Season 2 would be the last of the series. However, in another interview, he cleared his claim, hinting that there might be Your Honor Season 3.

The Alleged ‘Second and Last Season’

When the Breaking Bad star promoted the show’s second season in Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast last year, he described its return as “the second and last season.”

Hence, many quickly believed Your Honor Season 2 would be the last and final season.

Screen Rant also noted that the show had always been planned as a limited story with a nearing ending in sight.

The first season was originally written as a miniseries. But Cranston revealed that Showtime decided to bring it back for a second season after receiving “higher ratings than any other series” the network had ever had.

However, there are no words yet if there will be Your Honor Season 3 until today.

Showtime Allegedly Interested in Doing Your Honor Season 3

Later, Cranston cleared his comments on Shepard’s podcast, stressing his statement might only be “misconstrued.”

In an interview with Deadline at Contenders TV, the Malcolm in the Middle actor revealed Showtime was interested in Your Honor Season 3, though he might not be in it.

“My comment was I’m not sure that there could be or there is,” he explained.

“There is some discussion. Showtime has indicated there is interest, and we’re very proud to know that every episode in Season 2 increased in the audience from the previous week,” he continued. “If it happens, fantastic, but it’d have to be some great reason to keep expanding in this world and to find out where the allegiances are. I’d be very interested in producing that. I don’t know about being in it because my guy’s back in prison.”

For starters, Desiato is back in prison and seems content with his punishment to face his crimes.

Is there a Chance for Bryan Cranston to Return to Your Honor Season 3?

After revealing that he may only produce Your Honor Season 3, Cranston hinted that the only chance he will return to a possible third season is if it features a father “grieving the loss of his son.”

“I said, ‘This guy, if this really happened and you lost a child, it changes your life forever,” the 67-year-old argued.

“So, if you really want to show a man in abject despair, if there is any possibility of a life beyond that, let’s do it. But it has to be incrementally discovered,’” he added. “[Showtime] were willing to do that.”

Your Honor Seasons 1 and 2 are both available to stream on Showtime.
