Yoon Doo Joon Says Kwak Do Won Helped Him in the Series

Yoon Doo Joon scored the lead role in Never Give Up four years since he last appeared in the series Let’s Eat 3.

Per the idol-turned actor, he faced great pressure to return to acting after years of hiatus. Still, he managed to cope with it easily because of his Never Give Up co-star Kwak Do Won and the series’ director.

He said:

"I got a lot of help from Kwak for this series. Whenever I asked him about the parts I felt unsure about, he gave me precise and clear answers … he would give me a detailed explanation of the technical aspect (of acting) like breathing.”

Never Give Up explores the life of 40-something Goo Pil Soo (played by Kwak Do Won) and Jung Seok (Yoon Doo Joon).

In the series, the idol is a genius software developer who is an aspiring entrepreneur. He eventually loses his investment from his father, announcing the company’s bankruptcy. As he struggles to begin his tech startup, he meets Goo Pil Soo and starts helping each other to secure their futures.

Never Give Up aired its last episode on June 23.
