The official trailer for Yellowstone Season 5 has set a new series viewership record.

The show has consistently had high ratings, rising from an average of roughly 2.1 million U.S. viewers each episode in Season 1 to around 7.75 million in Season 4. The show is so popular that two more spinoffs are scheduled to join the Sam Elliott prequel series 1883, which will premiere in late 2021.

Yellowstone Season 5 Trailer Becomes #1 Most-Watched

The Yellowstone Season 5 trailer, which debuted six days ago, amassed 14.4 million views and 1.7 million engagements in the first full day after its release, according to Paramount (via Deadline).

That is three times more for the former and six times more for the latter when compared to the figures for the Season 4 trailer debut. The Yellowstone Season 5 trailer rose to the position of #1 most-watched TV-related video on TikTok within that time period, in addition to ranking #2 on Facebook.

The series, created by Hell or High Water's Taylor Sheridan, debuted on The Paramount Network in 2018 and follows the patriarch of a Montana ranch family defending his land against outside interests. Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, and Jefferson White star in the series.

The new season will chronicle the aftermath of Costner's character John Dutton winning the Montana governor's race after depriving his son Jamie (Bentley) of the opportunity.

Dutton's opponents are now circling the governor and his beloved ranch with more zeal than ever before, in addition to the family resentment that he is fomenting.

Interest in Yellowstone Peaks

Yellowstone's appeal has increased naturally in the years since its debut. However, the popularity of Yellowstone Season 5 may be bolstered by widespread interest in its multiple spinoffs. Although the second Yellowstone spinoff, 1923, has yet to premiere, it is gaining popularity due to its A-list cast, which includes Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.

With these incredible figures demonstrating the spike in interest in the series, it's conceivable that Yellowstone Season 5 will garner the program's greatest ratings to date. It may achieve ratings in the 10–11 million range if it keeps increasing at the rate at which the show's viewership has been increasing over time.

Given the significant increase in pre-debut interest between Seasons 4 and 5, it could even skyrocket.
