Showtime just dropped a new look at the upcoming Yellowjackets Season 2, revealing what happens after the previous season’s major cliffhanging storyline. The network showed the first images of the adult Van, played by Lauren Ambrose.
The images just confirmed that Van survived being mauled by the pack of wolves in the first season. However, it left a huge scar that would remind her of what happened in Yellowjackets Season 2.
The First Look at Adult Van
E! News published the official photos of the adult Van. In the images, she could be seen smiling as she started a new life as an employee in one shop.
In another, she looked at the camera while she seemed to be working. Lastly, this one is quite worrying as she appeared nervous while looking at something from afar.

Ambrose plays the adult version of Van, while Liv Hewson portrays her younger version in the first season.
Ambrose, too, has been upped to a series regular, hinting that fans see more of her in the show.
What Happened to Van in the First Season?
In Yellowjackets Season 1, a flashback scene revealed a pack of wolves brutally attacked Van, leaving her with serious injuries in the face.
According to ComicBook, this just cited an example of the “more graphic storytelling elements” that would be seen in Yellowjackets Season 2.
Sophie Nélisse, who plays the role of the young Shauna, even revealed that this trend would continue in the upcoming new episodes.

"There's scenes in Season 2 that are graphic, to say the least, and I remember just doing it, and [the cast] all sat and looked at each other, and we were like 'What the f-ck are we doing? Like, literally, what the f-ck are we doing?" she told Variety. "You'll look at it, and you'll understand, but I don't think you've ever seen such a scene in TV before."
Yellowjackets Season 2 Cast
Aside from Van, fans will also see the return of the adult versions of Shauna (Melanie Lynskey), Misty (Christina Ricci), Natalie (Juliette Lewis), and Taissa (Tawny Cypress).
Of course, it includes Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Eaton, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, and Warren Kole.

Elijah Wood and Jason Ritter will join the second season as guest stars.
Yellowjackets Season 2 will be out on March 24, 2023, on the Showtime app, while it will officially hit the small screens on March 26, 2023.
