Now, Hewson dropped the name of an actor who could play future, Van… that is, if she ever survived.

Liv Hewson Answers Who They Want to Play Adult Van in Yellowjackets Season 2

On the Dyking Out podcast, Hewson and Jasmin Savoy Brown, who plays young Taissa, were guests. They were asked who they would cast in the role of future Van. Fans of the show, of course, have their own theories. But Hewson has dropped a name of a rather popular actor.

“On the other side of that coin, my friends will text me and be like ‘What if it’s Julia Stiles?’ Then I’ll burst into tears,” Hewson said.

Stiles would be an excellent choice for the job. However, it is unknown whether Van is still alive in order to cast an older actor.

“I have to keep bringing myself back down to Earth too because I’ll get carried away thinking about that, then I’ll remind myself that they could kill me. Like I don’t know if I’m surviving! I can’t get my hopes up too much.”

Does Van Even Survive in Yellowjackets?

Van came close to death several times in the first season. In the first episode, Jackie (Ella Purnell) and Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) abandoned her in the burning plane. Van, on the other hand, made it out alive.

Van, however, was mauled by a wolf and faced death once again. Taissa and a few of the other soccer players were about to burn her body in remembrance, but Van awoke.

Van later recovered by having her face patched up. She also appeared to have joined Lottie's (Courtney Eaton) cult. In the future, Taissa is married to someone else and hasn't mentioned Van. Fans of the teen couple will be disappointed, but they could have been separated by a breakup rather than death. Fans will have to wait and see.

Yellowjackets Season 2 Release Date

We might not have to wait long for Yellowjackets to return, thanks to the early Season 2 renewal.

Gary Levine, Showtime's President of Entertainment, told Deadline in mid-December:

"We are working towards a premiere at the end of 2022... I think our audiences deserve that, and I also think that when you have a show that has this kind of a momentum, you don't want to let it dissolve."

According to this timeline, Yellowjackets Season 2 should come by December 2022 at the latest, while January/February 2023 could also be a possibility if production delays occur.
