Wonder Woman 3: Gal Gadot Shares Exciting Update on the Movie's Progress

In a recent chat with Forbes, Gal Gadot personally shared, with excitement, where Wonder Woman 3 is in right now, "We’re talking! We’re actually in the mix of working on the script and getting the third one made, so it’s all wheels are working and turning and I’m super, super excited for the fans to come and watch Wonder Woman 3 once it’s made."

Details around Wonder Woman 3 remains vague but Gal Gadot is set to reprise the titular role and the original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, has also confirmed that her new character, Asteria, will be back in the threequel after her brief appearance in the end credits of Wonder Woman 1984.

As for Chris Pine who played Steve Trevor in the first two Wonder Woman films, he is not so sure whether he would be reprising his role given that his character died in the first movie and his return in the second did not really sit well with the overall performance of the film with it being a plot point critics call as a negative.

Fans are excited considering that Gal Gadot and the director of the film, Patty Jenkins, are still confident when talking about the third film despite what happened with Wonder Woman 1984 where the film was released in the middle of the pandemic and garnering only $166 million when the budget of the movie is $200 million.

Warner Bros. Pictures recently merged with Discovery and the company is on their way to overhaul the DC properties by focusing on well-known supporting characters such as Black Adam, Joker, and Harley Quinn. With the company still having faith in the franchise, the third movie still stands and is still in progress, even having a Wonder Woman 4 reportedly under development.

There is no release date attached to Wonder Woman 3, yet, but it is expected to arrive sometime next year, 2023, or the year after.
