Just a few days after its release, Bridgerton's spin-off series got released, and it already reached the top spot of trending shows to watch on Netflix. Not only that, many of its viewers have already binge-watched all six episodes of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
And while we're still waiting for an announcement on whether there will be a second season of the show, many are already asking for more Bridgerton spin-off shows. But what does show creator Shonda Rhimes has planned out for the Bridgerton universe?
Here's what we know about potential Bridgerton spin-off shows in the future.
Will There Be More Bridgerton Spinoffs?
During the show's premiere in Leicester Square, London, Rhimes talked to HELLO! about the future of the show. The show creator was asked if there were any other Bridgerton characters she planned to expand on in the future.
"There's no plan to explore anybody in particular. I was just doing this because I was so passionate about the subject."
Rhimes also added that she "got very interested in Violet's story." But for now, the producer said: "We'll see."
Who Is Violet in Bridgerton?
Violet Bridgerton is part of both the original series and the Queen Charlotte spin-off show. She is played by Connie Jenkins-Greig.
Since Queen Charlotte is a prequel of Bridgerton, we meet the younger version of Violet in the show, where she is described to be "a kind and inquisitive teenager who has not yet entered the marriage mart … or famously become a Bridgerton."
In Rhimes' words with IMDB:
"I think Violet is fascinating. And there's a story to be told there."
Although nothing has been announced, it's possible that a new Bridgerton spin-off show could be introduced in the future. But for now, a Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story Season 2 also looks promising.
