Will There Be Another Incredibles Movie? 2021 Updates and Everything We Know So Far

The Incredibles is the ultimate family movie especially when the kids around are really young and when its sequel was announced, kids who watched the first film already grew up and watched with a new generation of viewers all flocking into the theaters at once. As for the third installment, however, will there be another? Here is everything we know so far.

When The Incredibles first arrived in 2004, the superhero film produced by Pixar surely captured the hearts of its viewers that a whole generation is waiting for its sequel. It took more than a decade to arrive, after fourteen years, the second installment of the franchise finally made it into the big screen, a direct continuation of the first one.

The Incredibles focus on the Parr family, your typical suburban family, except maybe all of them have powers, with the matriarch being Elastigirl having super flexibility that she could form shapes from her own body, and the patriarch being Mr. Incredible having super strength. Their children are also powered: Violet has invisibility and a force field, Dash has super speed, and Jack-jack has all sorts of powers.

The series of films is directed and written by Brad Bird, produced by Pixar, and released by Disney. A third film remains in question as neither of the parties has spoken about it since the pandemic happened. The last word anyone heard about the film was from Brad Bird in an interview with EW in 2018 about the possibility of another Incredibles movie.

In the said interview, Bird did not rule out the possibility of an Incredibles 3 saying, "and if past is prologue, it'll be another 14 years — and a lot of people will probably need oxygen to make a third one."

If and when the third Incredibles film would be as when Bird said it would happen, that would be three generations of fans and viewers already. By the time the movie would release, those who followed the story of the Parr family from the start would surely be first in line in cinemas for the tickets.
