2021 may really be the year of the DC Extended Universe with Wonder Woman 1984 ending 2020 and starting the year right on track. With the upcoming Snyder Cut or the Justice League version of director Zack Snyder, this year will be a jam-packed year for the whole DCEU.

In 2017, to the surprise of many, director Zack Snyder left his post as the director for Justice League and from then on, Joss Whedon filled in his shoes to make way for the Justice League that we know of. Snyder's departure led to the questions of what really happened behind the curtain and why the director suddenly left.

Fans drew a conclusion that the reason why Snyder left is because of the untimely and tragic death of his daughter, Autumn. Recently, Snyder revealed that the death of his daughter is not the main reason why he left in the middle of the production of Justice League. It took Snyder four years to finally reveal the reason for his departure.

It appears that Snyder and the production company itself, Warner Bros., disagreed on a decision that would entirely alter the entirety of the film. Snyder felt that while he did not leave without a fight, the production company was just too big to argue with as Warner Bros. and Snyder did not share the same creative vision for the film.

Fans started to go wild and petitioned for Snyder's version of the film to be released with the hashtag #ReleaseTheSnyderCut and even Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, supported this call of the fans.

After a long wait, the film will finally be seeing the light of day as confirmed by Zack Snyder himself, the film he considers to be the end of his DCEU stint.

The film finally called their final cut as their production ended just a week ago and it officially has an R-Rating for HBO Max. With an upcoming trailer next week, the fans have been meaning to ask if the film will also have a DVD, Blu-Ray, Digital, or 4K release.

Great news for the fans as it appears that Zack Snyder's Justice League, along with Wonder Woman 1984, will be having a 4K Ultra HD Release as announced and confirmed by The Digital Bits.

The release of the 4K Ultra HD of the Snyder Cut is tentatively scheduled in March 2021, shortly after the film's release on HBO Max. Wonder Woman 1984 will have its 4K Ultra HD Release the following month.

Zack Snyder himself announced the digital release date of the Snyder Cut in an amazing poster that he posted via Twitter. Snyder also confirmed that the film will not be released like a limited series but will be a whopping four-hour film.

The four hours were previously explained as the Justice League was originally planned as a two-part film. Now that it has the chance to finally be aired, the Snyder Cut will have a one-time big-time drop of the film which will be four hours long.

Zack Snyder's Justice League will feature more of the stories of Ray Fisher's Cyborg and Jared Leto's Joker. The film will also introduce the Martian Manhunter, a character that did not make it to the final cut of Joss Whedon's Justice League.

Zack Snyder's Justice League premieres on HBO Max, March 18, 2021.
