We never thought we'd live to see the day when Harry Potter gets rebooted. Or when Artificial Intelligence is starting to take over. But here we are.

The seven-season-long television series will soon be arriving on HBO Max (although there's no release date as yet), so hold onto your broomsticks.

There's already been backlash from fans, which is no surprise when you consider the reception Hogwarts Legacy (2023) got when it was announced.

We are, of course, referring to the ongoing JK Rowling controversy, which, like the Wizarding World itself, shows no signs of ever coming to an end.

But never mind, because if it's more Harry Potter you ordered, then it's coming right up. If it's a continuation of the films, however, you're out of luck.

Following the disastrous critical and financial performances of the last two Fantastic Beasts films, Warner Bros. been looking for an excuse to hit reset.

And now, they have, because Harry Potter is being rebooted. Actually rebooted. Yes, this is really happening.

Call it unimaginative, call it unoriginal, call it lazy, call it premature - there's really nothing we can do about it.

All we can do really, is wonder who will end up playing the likes of Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, and Hermione Granger.

Well, despite a rumored recasting having already taken place, with Bronte Carmichael apparently set to play Ms Granger, we're not convinced.

For starters, the Christopher Robin (2018) actress is 15 years' old, and we know that a younger actress will be needed to play the First-Year Hermione.

And seeing as Warner Bros. and HBO Max have already confirmed that the series will be a faithful adaptation of the seven books, we can only assume it will start in chronological order.
