The third episode of Hawkeye showed more of another character other than Maya Lopez as her interpreter, Kazimierz "Kazi" Kazimierczak, portrayed by Fra Fee, got more screen time as well and while he seems to be just the right-hand man of Echo who keeps her feet on the ground reminding her of values, he is more of a villain than what meets the eye. Who is he?

Introduced as the interpreter of Echo and somewhat the right-hand man leading the Tracksuit mafia, Kazimierz "Kazi" Kazimierczak is more than what meets the eye. He speaks ASL and he could communicate directly to Echo and he looks as if he is the calm one but surely, the boil is deep inside him. In the comics, he has a really big impact on Clint Barton.

It is Kazi who reminds Maya to put the group first before anything else and that their pursuit of Ronin is causing them to make a scene when they are supposed to lay low. He’s one hell of a driver, too, as he dodged so many special arrows, even rummaging a whole Christmas tree sale and surviving the giant arrow falling from the sky which was hit by the Pym arrow.

It should be noted that Clint is already having a hard time hearing things after years of being near explosions which must have, somehow, damages his eardrum but in the Marvel comics, it was Kazi who permanently shuts off all the sounds of the world for Clint as he completely made him lose his sense of hearing.

Kazi is known in the comics as the Clown, possibly the closest that the MCU would have as the Joker. He makes Clint’s hearing loss permanent by jamming an arrow into Clint’s ear and while Hawkeye gets completely deaf, he managed to overcome Kazi.

Ironically, in one scene in Episode 3, while Clint and Kate were trying to escape, Clint fired an arrow to free Kate from bondage and it hits the ear of Kazi along the way, seemingly hinting that there is a foreboding on that part.
