Who Is Yu Ishigami?
Ishigami is one of the main characters in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, and he's one year younger than the main couple. For those interested in literary references, his name comes from Isonokami no Maro, the fifth suitor from The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter also known as The Tale of Princess Kaguya.
Ishigami is a quiet, melancholic student who isn't very active in the student council and enjoys playing video games in his free time. He also has a wide knowledge of manga and anime, which he gets to show of in the promo of Kaguya-sama: Love is War Season 3 - Ultra Romantic.
Despite being pessimistic and preferring to spend time alone, Ishigami is still a kind, somewhat insecure person, and a helpful, loyal friend. In Season 3 of Kaguya-sama, we expect that we'll get to know him better. But will he be implicated in any romance?

At first, Ishigami's love life, or lack thereof, is one of the reasons for his melancholic attitude. In typical moody teenager fashion, he takes rejections very seriously, suffering as a result.
When he joins the Cheerleading team, Ishigami falls in love with Tsubame, a popular classmate, who eventually rejects him, though she hopes to remain friends with him. It is around this time that Miko Iino develops a crush on Ishigami, though she's too shy and defensive to express these feelings.

The two grow closer over the progression of the manga, but Ishigami is still too hurt to see her as a potential romantic partner. Theirs is a slow burn romance, and the mutual feelings they develop over time are only acknowledged much later when the two work with the rest of the student council to free Kaguya from her abusive family.
Even in the manga, we're still in the early days of their relationship, with their acts of affection being very subtle. With the main plot developing fast, there's no time for them to properly discuss where they stand, though this conversation will definitely happen at some point.
