Serialized in Square Enix’s Young Gangan, My Dress-Up Darling is a manga illustrated and written by Shinichi Fukuda. It was serialized in 2018 and can be collected in eight volumes as of 2021. CloverWorks decided to adapt the manga into an anime and made its premiere on January 9, 2022.
The story follows Wakana Gojo, who is a first-year high school student. He wanted to become a hina doll craftsman. In his first semester, his popular classmate, named Marin Kitagawa, saw him making doll costumes. It has been Marin’s dream to cosplay and as she observed Wakana’s skill, she asked him if he could make a costume for her based on the video game that she loves.

My Dress-Up Darling will be released on Tokyo MX and other channels. Those who do not have access to these channels will have to look for a streaming giant who offers the series. Unfortunately, Netflix will not be one of those. The site has not confirmed if it will release My Dress-Up Darling but it did not deny either. Members of the streaming platform can still wait for an update regarding this one or look for alternative sites to stream the anime.

Funimation members will not have to go to other sites as My Dress-Up Darling has been added to its anime library. The site acquired a license to stream the series outside of Asia. The platform has a free trial period for those who are new to the site to watch the series for free. But after the said period, viewers must register to continue watching.
The site has a membership fee of $5.99 per month or $59.99 per year. After that, members can stream their preferred shows without ads and even view these offline. They can also simulcast the show one hour after it was released in Japan.

Hulu will be joining Netflix and Crunchyroll as it is not offering My Dress-Up Darling as of this writing. The streaming platform is known to offer new and popular anime but it seems like it did not acquire a license to release the series. The site has not made an official announcement whether it has plans to stream My Dress-Up Darling or not so fans can still be hopeful of the possibility.
