Watch the Batman Movies Free: March 2022 Update

  • All the Batman movies are available to rent or purchase on Amazon Video and YouTube Movies, with the exception of Justice League: The Snyder Cut.

With The Batman (2022) due out in theaters, there's no better time to binge all the live-action Batman movies. Starting way back in 1966, the Bat of Gotham has enjoyed numerous outings on the silver screen, whether camp or serious, tame or brutal - everyone's favorite crimefighter has done it all, with many actors having donned the iconic cape and cowl.

In fact, the Batman movies are a little like James Bond movies, in that the marketing for a new installment almost always revolves around which actor has been cast as the titular vigilante, as well as who is set to play his iconic foes. However, it's fair to say that 007 is winning in the numbers game (unless we were to count the animated Batman flicks).

In Matt Reeves' upcoming film, Batman/Bruce Wayne will be played by Robert Pattinson, while Paul Dano will give us his take on The Riddler (whose real name is Edward Nygma, though there have been many variations), with Zoe Kravitz as Selena Kyle AKA Catwoman, and Colin Farrell as The Penguin (known formerly as Oswald Cobblepot).

But before you watch the new reboot, you might wish to binge all the Bats that have come before it, from Adam West to Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer to George Clooney, and Christian Bale to Ben Affleck. First, though, you might need a refresher on just how many live-action Batman movies there have been. So here they are...

  • Batman: The Movie (1966)
  • Batman (1989)
  • Batman Returns (1992)
  • Batman Forever (1995)
  • Batman and Robin (1997)
  • Batman Begins (2005)
  • The Dark Knight (2008)
  • The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
  • Justice League (2017)
  • Justice League: The Snyder Cut (2021)

In total, there are five separate continuities between these 11 movies - there's the original 1966 Adam West movie, which is the big screen adaptation of the '60s shows; there are the four movies that started with Tim Burton's two movies, followed by Joel Schumacher's two entries; Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy; Joss Whedon's Justice League, and, of course, the Snyder Cut, which follows on from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Now let's find out where you can rent, purchase, or stream them all online!
