The Mandalorian Season 3 might still be streaming on Disney+, but before we know it, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu will launch off into hyperspace once again, and we'll be left wondering if and when Season 4 will ever arrive. Well, the good news is producer Jon Favreau has already confirmed that the fourth season is in development. But what will The Mandalorian Season 4 be about?

It's difficult to try and work out what The Mandalorian Season 4 will be about before the third season has even reached its midway point, but it's fair to say that we have a pretty vague idea of the direction the show is heading in.

So far, The Mandalorian Season 3 is orbiting Din Djarin's journey in reclaiming his honor as a Mandalorian, with the help of Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff). But outside this plot, which has seemingly been resolved (but let's face it - this is probably just the beginning), it would appear that Din has started to train Grogu in the ways of the Mandalorian (his ways, at least).

While Grogu was previously under the tutelage of legendary Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), as seen in spin-off show The Book of Boba Fett (2021), he was back within Mando's care quicker than you can say "the Force is strong with this one". Now, it seems that Grogu's destiny lies with the Mandalorians - but let's not forget that he's also an incredibly powerful Force user, something that's still being teased as the show goes on.

Recently, we talked about how many fans are expecting that The Mandalorian will eventually lead into the Sequel Trilogy, perhaps even beyond it. After all, like Yoda, Grogu will live an incredibly long life - several centuries, in fact. But let's not get too ahead of ourselves. It's becoming increasingly clear that Disney and Lucasfilm have their sights set on the sequel territory.

While it's unlikely they'll want to revisit any of the storylines established in the widely-divisive films, there are many elements that can be recycled, such as the First Order, Supreme Leader Snoke, and, of course, the Jedi. Either way, the show would have to do a significant time jump, as there are some 25 years separating the two.
