Less than a week before John Wick: Chapter 4 was released in theaters, the world was shocked with the sudden passing of Lance Reddick. The 60-year-old actor plays the loyal concierge of The Continental hotel called Charon, in all John Wick films. And apart from this movie, the actor still has several different projects lined up in the future.

With this, we can't help but wonder what the status of those other projects now that Reddick has died. More importantly, will Reddick still be in the upcoming John Wick spinoff movie, Ballerina? Here's what we know at this time.

There are two other John Wick spinoff projects that are currently in production at this time. The Continental TV series, which will be released on Peacock in September; and Ballerina, which still hasn't gotten a release date from Lionsgate.

So will Reddick's Charon character be in those projects? Since The Continental is a prequel series that takes place years before the events of the first John Wick movie, we can be sure that Charon will be part of the series. But since it is a prequel, the series will introduce us to a younger Charon, which will be played by Ayomide Adegun.

As for Ballerina, Reddick's character will be part of that timeline; but we don't know for sure when it will insert into the series of events of the four John Wick movies. With regards to Reddick's scenes in the movie, there is good news! Reddick was able to finish all of his scenes prior to his passing. It's likely that Lionsgate will dedicate the movie to Reddick once it gets released in theaters.

Apart from Ballerina, there are some other movie projects that Reddick was involved in. Here is a list of these projects and their status:

The Caine Mutiny Court Martial

Reddick plays Captain Luther Blakely in the Paramount movie. The movie is currently in production but Reddick was able to complete all his scenes for this project.

St. Sebastian

St. Sebastian is a movie about survivors in a post apocalyptic Russia after the nuclear war, which Reddick stars as Ives. The movie status is completed, but a release date has not yet been announced.

Apteros

Another movie that Reddick was supposed to be part of is Apteros, a psychological thriller about astronauts traveling to Mars after discovering bacterial life. The actor is credited as Captain Mitchel, but since the film is currently in pre-production status, it's possible that they haven't been able to film the scenes. If this is the case, they will likely re-cast the role.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians

For those who are waiting for the reboot of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the good news is that Reddick was able to complete his scenes for the first season. The Disney+ series will be released in 2024, where Reddick stars as Zeus.

Shirley

The biopic, Shirley, is about Shirley Chisholm, who was the first Black congresswoman in America. Reddick stars in the movie as Chisholm's campaign manager called Wesley MacDonald "Mac" Holder. The film is believed to be released by the end of the year.

White Men Can't Jump

The Hulu reboot of White Men Can't Jump will be released on May 19, 2023. Reddick was able to complete shooting his scenes as Benji Allen, the father and coach of a Sinqua Walls' character who has MS.

Reddick's sudden passing has left his colleagues shocked. He will greatly be missed by his fans, colleagues, friends, and family.
