Westworld Season 4 Adds West Side Story Star Ariana DeBose in Recurring Guest Role

After a long two-year wait, the first teaser trailer for the much-awaited fourth season of Westworld has been released. While it didn't give us any definitive clues or information regarding what the plot of the season will be, it did feature the return of most main cast members of the series. Now, it looks like an Oscar winner has joined the cast of the season.

HBO has confirmed that West Side Story star and newly-minted Oscar winner Ariana DeBose is part of the fourth season of Westworld in a recurring guest role although they didn't give any specific details regarding her character. You can actually spot her in the teaser trailer during the 0:44 mark where she is sharing a scene with Evan Rachel Wood's Dolores.

DeBose joins returning main cast members such as Wood, Thandiwe Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Aaron Paul, and Angela Sarafyan. The logline of the fourth season is simply described as: "A dark odyssey about the fate of sentient life on earth."

It is exciting to hear that DeBose has joined the cast, especially now after just winning an Oscar which added to her star power. It would be interesting to see what kind of role will she have in the series knowing that she will potentially share a lot of scenes with Wood, whose participation in the upcoming season is still a mystery given what happened with Dolores during the end of the third season.

To recap how the third season concluded, Maeve and Caleb successfully fought against Serac with Dolores seemingly sacrificing himself, William was killed by a host replica of himself, Bernard got the closure with Arnold's wife, and Charlotte is seemingly poised to be the antagonist of the next season (at least that's what they might have implied).
