Wednesday is a Netflix original series based on the iconic Addams family. The show follows the titular character, Wednesday, the daughter of the family, who now studies in Nevermore, her parents’ alma mater. The season ended with much flourish, successfully reviving all of the slumbering goths inside of us.

We crave for more adventures with Thing, Enid, and the entire squad, so here is everything we know about Wednesday Season 2 to help satiate your hunger.

There is still no set release date for Wednesday Season 2. The series' first season premiered on November 23, the Wednesday (of course) before Thanksgiving.

If the series’ second season follows the same trend as the first season, we may see Wednesday Season 2 around the same time on Thanksgiving. The most probable date would be November 22, 2023 - the Wednesday before Thanksgiving 2023.

When was Wednesday Season 2 Announced?

There are still no formal announcements about the potential second season of the series. Since the series has been out for barely a month, we may have to wait a few more weeks before we hear any updates.

In an interview with Variety, series co-creator Miles Millar hinted that there have always been plans for Wednesday to have multiple seasons

For us, it's always looking at the future, and when we sit down to create a show, it’s looking at multiple seasons, ideally. That’s never expected, but that’s the anticipation that hopefully, the show is successful ... We certainly have a pretty clear runway of what we want to do in future seasons.

Most of the characters from Wednesday’s first season come back for the second season.

The entire Addams family may most likely reprise their roles, with Jenna Ortega still headlining the series as Wednesday Addams. The rest of the family may still include Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzman as Gomez, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, and George Burcea as Lurch.

Wednesday’s friends may also return with Emma Myers’ Enid finally wolfing out and Percy Hynes White’s Xavier still holding out hopes to win Wednesday’s cold heart. Joy Sunday’s Bianca may also return with her powerful siren song.

Cristina Ricci’s Laurel was also caught and attacked by bees but we have no clue where she ended up. Hunter Doohan’s Tyler was last seen restrained while being transported but we were left hanging after he woke up Hyde-ing out.

Gwendoline Christie’s Principal Weems died, but with no burial in sight, we refuse to believe it was Larissa's end. In an interview with Digital Spy, Christie teased her potential return as a passionate educator:

We haven't seen her put in the ground, have we? I feel like Larissa Weems would not really be prepared to entertain or be dominated by anything as commonplace as death.

Wednesday season 1 ended with many cliffhangers an unsolved mysteries that may provide excellent plot points for season 2.

Potential Wednesday Spoilers Up Ahead

We may meet Bianca’s family and the cult-like business her mother runs. We learn Bianca’s true identity in the middle of the series when her mother visits her at school and commands her to come home.

Another potential plot point would be a possible continuation of Tyler and Laurel’s plans. We see both of them defeated by the end of the first season, but this does not guarantee their end especially since we see Tyler turning to Hyde while he was being transported presumably to a different facility.

The biggest mystery, perhaps, that would hopefully be addressed in season 2 is Wednesday’s secret stalker. When Xavier gave Wednesday a phone, we see her receive anonymous messages, much to her delight.

We can’t wait to see what Wednesday season 2 has in store.
