For two years, during the pandemic, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Entertainment holds the DC FanDome, a virtual event platform where they unveil a whole comic book convention for DC properties online. However, there will be no DC FanDome 2022 happening as per Warner Bros. Discovery.

Warner Bros. Discovery announces through Popverse that DC FanDome 2022 is not happening this year, "With the return of in-person events, Warner Bros. Discovery is excited to be able to engage with our fans live at numerous comic-cons around the world and will not be scheduling DC FanDome for 2022."

Despite the influx of in-person events happening this year like the SDCC and the upcoming D23 Expo 2022, DC FanDome 2022 will not be joining the bunch and a lot of fans would not be getting new updates for DC projects especially with the new slate of the DCEU.

Without a DC FanDome 2022, Warner Bros. Discovery resorts to other in-person events happening this year and through press releases or social media for their announcements such as the delay of Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

So far, for 2022, Black Adam will be the only DCEU project pushing through for the rest of the year with the delay of Shazam 2.

Currently, Warner Bros. Discovery has been reorganizing their corporate structure following their merger and has been rescheduling their ongoing projects little by little. They have not explained the reason why there will be no DC FanDome 2022.

The DC FanDome in 2020 was the first virtual event by Warner Bros. which was witnessed by 22 million people across the globe through its 24-hour live stream. The event trended online. The second one in 2021 expanded its channels which garnered 66 million views worldwide.
