VALORANT Raised $5.5 Million For Charity With Give Back Bundle

From June 22 to July 8, the limited-time Give Back Bundle was made available in VALORANT, and it includes weapon skins that the community voted to bring back: Reaver Vandal, Ion Operator, VALORANT GO Vol. 1 Spectre, and the Reaver Sheriff. Today, developer Riot Games has announced that the bundle has raised $5.5 million for charity.

Each in-game cosmetic in the bundle cost players 1,755 VP or roughtly $20 USD, and the entire bundle costs $6,382 VP, a 10% discount from the original prices of the weapon skins. 50% of the proceeds from sales went towards Riot's Social Impact Fund, a charity focused on funding education, citizenship, and opportunity, to make a positive impact in the world.

All the skins in the Give Back Bundle were previously released in their own bundles, and the VALORANT community voted to decide which skins will return. Here are the results: the Reaver Sheriff got almost 60 percent of the votes, which was followed by the Magepunk Ghost with 24.1 percent. The Reaver Vandal got 35.2 percent, beating Prime 2.0 Phantom's 21.5 percent. The VALORANT GO! Spectre's 47.2 percent beat the Sovereign Stinger's 26.5 percent. However, the operator matchup was incredibly close where the Ion Operator beat the Reaver Operator by just 0.1 percent.

"We look forward to partnering with you again to support local nonprofits with the Riot Games Social Impact Fund and be agents of change in your communities."

The amount of money raised for charity shows how incredibly profitable VALORANT is despite being a free-to-play game. The cosmetics in the game are also top-notch, so it's not surprising to see many players purchase the Give Back Bundle, and players who bought the bundle can say that they've supported a positive cause.
