VALORANT is getting ready to introduce the next Agent coming to the popular tactical first-person shooter game. Riot Games recently confirmed that the new Agent is codenamed "Bounty Hunter", and is going to be an Initiator type. It's been a while since Riot revealed the latest VALORANT Agent, Neon, to the game in January 2022 since the last major update in March 2022 didn't introduce one, so now, fans are more eager to find out more about the next Agent. Thankfully, we already have some information.

In March 2022's State of the Agents blog, VALORANT character producer John Goscicki shared vague clues that give players an idea about the next Agent.

He also revealed that they've been focused on identifying unique gameplay differences within the realm of recon/info, and landed in a space that has more "localized Initiation and recon tools". As stated in the blog, the next VALORANT Agent is set to be a competition to Sova and will likely join the roster of Initiators alongside KAY/O, Breach, Skye, and Sova.

In April 2022, Riot officially revealed our first look at Fade during the VALORANT Masters event at Reyjavik.

Here's everything we know so far about Fade:

What is the name of VALORANT Agent 20?

Where is Fade from?

The March 2022 State of the Agents blog also teased an image for the next VALORANT Agent, revealing clues about the hacker-type character.

The devs also concluded the blog with: “Herkesin bir korkusu var,” a Turkish sentence that roughly translates to “everyone has a fear” in English. This hints that Agent 20 is most definitely from Turkey.

What are Fade's abilities?

Now that we know that Agent 20: Fade will be an Initiator, the Bounty Hunter will have intel-gathering abilities that are completely unique. In the State of the Agents blog, Goscicki teased the Agent's ability to hunt down enemies:

"This next Agent should give you a more…intimate feeling when hunting down enemies. Of course, there is our theme—but the thought of giving away too much frightens me so I’ll leave that out."

Based on the information revealed so far, the new VALORANT Agent may be capable of hacking. According to Cypher, the new Agent's hacking talents are top-notch. For a limited time, expect the "Bounty Hunter" to hack the abilities of other Agents. That will likely have a huge impact on the current meta.

However, according to ValorLeaks, the new Agent is expected to have an ability similar to Skye's wolf.

Moreover, the new VALORANT home screen shows an intriguing exclamation mark on Brimstone's map and Killjoy's Nano Swarms, implying that their kits have been hacked, hinting that Agent 20 might be able to copy, steal, or disable an enemy's abilities.

While Riot still hasn't officially revealed Fade's abilities, they've reportedly been leaked on March 29. Fade's abilities are called Prowler, Seize, Haunt, and Nightfall. You can check out their descriptions below:

You can watch Fade's gameplay trailer below:

C- Prowler

Send out a creature that can follow trails or be controlled by moving your mouse. Upon reaching an enemy, they will be nearsighted for three seconds. Only one creature is allowed per trail.

Q- Seize

Equip and fire an orb that will stay in the air for a max of 1.5 seconds before slamming into the ground. When the orb hits the ground, enemies within its nearby radius will be tethered, take damage, and be deafened.

E- Haunt

Equip and fire an orb that will stay in the air and then hit the ground. It will then go back into the air and turn into an eye. If Enemies are spotted by the eye, they will be revealed and a trailed debuff is applied.

X (Ultimate) – Nightfall

Send out a wave of dark mist. If the mist hits an enemy, they will be deafened, trailed, and decayed.

Riot went on to say that the first look at Fade's gameplay will be revealed at VALORANT Masters Reykjavík Grand Final on Apr. 24.
