Umbrella Academy Season 2 Confirmed, Releases New Teaser

Umbrella Academy ended up being another huge hit for Netflix, so a second season for the show was inevitable. So, to no one's surprise, the show was indeed renewed for a second season, with Netflix releasing a cute little teaser to celebrate the occasion. No, it's not new footage sadly, but we do get bits of the first season's finale with confirmation for the show's second season.

According to Variety, the second season will also be 10 episodes and production will begin this summer. Don't worry, this isn't an April Fool's joke and it's not like this could be considered a big "secret," since everyone pretty much knew that this show would gain another season. Hopefully, it's just as creative as the first.

To the surprise of no one, all of the actors will be returning to their roles as well. Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, and Justin Min are all reportedly set to reprise their roles in this new season, with showrunner Steve Blackman returning as well.

Umbrella Academy can currently be streamed on Netflix. The series is based on Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba's comic from Dark Horse, which has a number of graphic novels. There is also a new series, Hotel Oblivion, which fans can pick up now in comic stores.
