Train to Busan is getting an American remake, but many netizens aren't happy about it. The hit South Korean action horror movie is set to return, but this time in New York. The new flick is reportedly titled Last Train to New York. But the netizens strongly disapproved of it.

Twitter Users Do Not Want A Train To Busan American Remake Says 'No' To Last Train to New York

The news of the Train to Busan remake seemed not to excite most of the Twitter users. For them, the original South Korean movie was too good that making a remake would only ruin it. Many of them said no to Last Train to New York.


"We don't need ‘TRAIN TO BUSAN’ remake," one tweeted.

"Then they could have made a different movie if they're as good as you say they are, because Train to Busan is already an amazing movie that doesn't need an Americanized version to be understood and appreciated," another added.

"Train to Busan was perfect. It don't need a remake," a third user wrote.

Another netizen predicted that the remake would be "one of the worst ideas ever." The online user said nobody asked for it and even warned director Timo Tjahjanto, who will be helming the remake, that it would make him one of the most hated filmmakers ever.

Tjahjanto seemed up for the challenge and even clapped back at the critic.

"If someone's not hating your career somewhere in a dark dingy corner of the galaxy, means you're not aiming high enough," the director wrote.

Train to Busan Gets American Remake Titled Last Train to New York

Many were shocked and surprised after learning about the Train to Busan remake. Initially, Deadline reported about the reboot of Under Seige, which will be helmed by Indonesian director Timo Tjahjanto The outlet added that Tjahjanto is also to attached to the remake of Train to Busan, which is reportedly titled Last Train to New York.

In addition to Tjahjanto, The Conjuring and Saw filmmaker James Wan was on board as the producer. The script will be written by Gary Dauberman, who also worked on other popular horror movies, including IT, Annabelle Comes Home.

There are no details yet as to who will be the cast of when the film will be released.
