Tom Cruise And Nicole Kidman Impossible To Play Nice?

Globe Magazine, in its upcoming June 13 issue, reported that Tom Cruise recently reopened the gusher of bad blood when he did not include any video of Nicole Kidman in a reel of his career highlights. The said video was reportedly shown in May at the Cannes Film Festival, where Tom lauded his highly-anticipated Top Gun sequel to movie moguls and audiences from different parts of the world.

Despite showing clips of other female co-stars such as Penelope Cruz, Kirsten Dunst, and Renee Zellweger, there was reportedly no video of Nicole Kidman, who shared the big screen with Tom Cruise in Eyes Wide Shut, Far and Away and Days of Thunder, where they first met in 1990.

An unnamed source stated:

“This was a real kick in the teeth for Nicole but Tom couldn’t care less. He did this very deliberately as a way of clearly telling Nicole and the world that he has zero respect for her. It’s no secret her comments about him and their marriage in interviews have infuriated Tom, while his other exes mostly have kept a dignified silence!”

Another insider said:

“If Nicole had her way, they’d have a dignified communication, perhaps meet from time to time with their adopted kids, but Tom is simply not interested. He’s asking for trouble though, because it’s highly likely she’ll address this and call him out for holding such petty grudges!”

Moreover, sources claimed there is no love lost between Connor and Isabella, and Keith Urban, who is the current husband of Nicole Kidman. One unnamed informant said:

“It’s a little-known secret those kids have always thought of Keith as a brainless hillybilly and never considered him worthy of dating their mom. They love her, but they’re with Tom more often – and he’s got zero desire to sit around with Nicole and try to play happy families!”

Tom Cruise has yet to comment on the claims that he intentionally did not include a video of Nicole Kidman in his montage. So, avid followers of Katie Holmes’ ex-husband should take all these unverified reports with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.

In a lawsuit filed in California federal court on Monday, it was stated that Paramount Studios failed to “reacquire the rights from the family after it was terminated under the US Copyright Act” before releasing the blockbuster sequel titled Top Gun: Maverick in May.

The family of Ehud Yonay furthered that, in 2018, they informed the makers that their “rights to Ehud’s article would be terminated two years later,” which means the maker of Tom Cruise’s movie had lost the copyright in January 2020.

It was reported that the sequel of the Tom Cruise starrer earned a whopping $548 million worldwide in its first 10 days of release. Ehud Yonay’s widow and son, reportedly, sought “unspecified damages, including profits from the sequel.”

Paramount Studios, for its part, released a statement saying that the claims are without merit, adding that they would vigorously defend themselves. Tom Cruise has yet to comment on the lawsuit.
