The 69-year-old started in the business in the 1970s. Through the years, he has several credits to his name, but he’s more known for playing the role of Time “The Toolman” Taylor on Home Improvement and Mike Baxter on Last Man Standing.
He, too, is famous for being the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story franchise and the actor behind Santa Clause in the Santa Clause franchise.

Tim Allen’s Salary and Net Worth
During the height of Allen’s role in Home Improvement, he received a whopping $1.25 million paycheck per episode, making him the fifth highest-paid TV actor of all time in terms of salary per episode.
However, he only received $235,000 per episode for Last Man Standing. He then got a staggering $5 million for Toy Story 2, a far cry from his $50,000 salary for the first Toy Story movie.

Tim Allen’s Friendship with Tom Hanks
Allen talked about his long-standing friendship with Tom Hanks, who voiced Woody, that began when they did the first Toy Story movie in 1995 on the Kelly Clarkson Show.
“I don’t think I’ve ever trusted a human being as much as Tom to listen to me and vice versa,” he said.
“Tom and I really became close friends from Toy Story 1,” he continued. “He’s a very different person than me, and he eats off my plate. I come from a family; you don’t do that.”

Allen told a story about the meal he shared with the Forrest Gump actor in the 1990s when the latter stole French fries from his plate. From there, the Wild Hogs star taught Hanks about plate boundaries.
But since then, they would often meet up and have “the most peculiar lunches.”
“We’re like two older women ’cause we will sit almost too close to each other at a booth,” Allen revealed. “It’s just weird.”
