Thor Actor Chris Hemsworth Stars in Trailer for Netflix’s Extraction

While it's going to take a while before Thor: Love and Thunder starts production, Chris Hemsworth has teamed up with Netflix for a movie called Extraction. Just in, they've dropped the trailer for the action/thriller.

Here's the official description:

Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) is a fearless black market mercenary who embarks on the deadliest mission of his career when he's enlisted to rescue the kidnapped son of an international crime lord.

What's interesting is that the movie is being produced by Joe and Anthony Russo; and what's more, director Sam Hargrave is a fight/stunt coordinator for Marvel, so you can expect some MCU-level actions scenes in this movie. Besides MCU films, Hargrave has also worked on films like Suicide Squad, Atomic Blonde, and Deadpool 2.

I think it's also worth mentioning that this film includes Black Widow star David Harbour. We may never get to see his Red Guardian clash with Thor, but it's always fun to see Harbour around, seeing as he's one of the internet's favorite dads.

Personally, I think the story is going to be more or less your typical ‘mercenary on a mission' flick; kind of funny how superhero actors like Ben Affleck and Ryan Reynolds have starred in Netflix movies that look like this one. If Extraction is going to have a hook, it's definitely the fact that the director is in charge of action for MCU films, and that's definitely something to look out for.

While box office films have been delayed, it looks like Extraction is going to come out as scheduled for Netflix. Catch the movie when it starts streaming on April 24.
