It goes without saying that Taika Waititi should be given all the credit in the world for turning the Thor film series into a fun and thrilling franchise. This is why it's no longer surprising how fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere of the fourth sequel, Thor: Love and Thunder. The Chris Hemsworth-led project is scheduled to hit cinemas this July but bafflingly enough, we still haven't seen the trailer for the film.
Ahead of the 94th Academy Awards, speculation began swirling all over social media that the ceremony will debut Thor 4's first official trailer but sadly, that never happened. Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes' Erik Davis even took to Twitter to clarify that Marvel has no plans of releasing the said trailer.

Well, considering Marvel Studios is currently occupied promoting both Moon Knight and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it's quite understandable how the studio would want to prioritize the aforementioned projects over anything else in their current Phase 4 slate.
Now, to those wondering when we'll be getting our first official look at Thor: Love and Thunder, information has been scarce but don't expect it to drop anytime soon. It's also worth noting that the reshoots with Christian Bale may have affected its status and if anything, they're probably waiting for the film to be complete before unveiling something. The trailer dropping sometime in May would be a safe guess though.
Thor: Love and Thunder will premiere exclusively in cinemas on July 8, 2022.
