[SPOILERS ahead for upcoming episodes of The Young and the Restless.]

The tension between Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has been ongoing since 2013 over a tragic accident involving the death of the former's daughter, Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono). It's been an ongoing feud in The Young and the Restless since then, and in the upcoming episodes, it looks like things may take a turn for the worse.

Billy Abbot Gets Protective of Jabot on The Young and the Restless

Billy and Adam will clash on The Young and the Restless due to their respective jobs at Jabot. Billy seeks to save his family's business while remaining dubious of Adam's intentions in his role as co-CEO.

Billy might go back to the business to shield Jabot from Adam. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), his girlfriend, won't be pleased with his choice, though.

Billy serves as the COO, and Lily is the CEO of Chancellor-Winters. Lily recently lost patience with her boyfriend since she thought he wasn't committed to his work. Billy assured Lily he would give Chancellor-Winters his whole attention. He might be forced to sleep on the couch due to his abrupt profession change, though.

Billy's attempt to derail Adam may lead him to make a pact with the Devil. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is furious when he learns of his son's new career.

Victor, who enjoys having control over his children's lives, will scheme to damage Adam's employment at Jabot in order to get him back at Newman. To do this, Victor may join forces with his adversary Billy, a decision that may backfire on both of them.

A Looming Disagreement

Billy and Adam's conflict in The Young and the Restless is primarily focused on Delia's death, but there are other contributing factors as well. Adam is an outcast in the community because of his deceitful behavior against his family, particularly Billy's ex-wife Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Billy won't let go of his resentment no matter how hard Adam tries to improve his life.

Billy is consumed by his obsession with Adam, and he will lose it over Adam's newest action. As co-CEO of Jabot, Adam accepts Jack Abbott's (Peter Bergman) job offer.

Unsurprisingly, not everyone enjoys working with Jabot's newest employee. Billy confronts Jack about hiring Adam, The Young and the Restless spoilers from Soaps.com suggest.

Caught in the Middle

Billy is enraged at the prospect of his rival joining the family business. Although he no longer works at Jabot, it is his legacy, and he is concerned about the company's future. As a result, Billy questions Jack's motives in employing Adam.

In The Young and the Restless, Jack is caught in the center of Billy and Adam's dispute. He understands Billy's grief at Delia's death, but what occurred was an accident. Billy needs to understand that Adam did not kill Delia on purpose.

Adam sees Jack as a buddy and a father figure. Jack has never left Adam's side, despite the faults he has done. Billy has been given numerous opportunities, and Adam has already atoned for his transgressions and merits one as well. Jack is prepared to bring Adam aboard after being ignored by the Newmans, but will this be a choice he'll come to regret?
