The Witcher Season 3: Henry Cavill Resumes Filming After COVID-19 Diagnosis

Henry Cavill is back. The star of The Witcher Season 3 has returned to the set of the Netflix series to resume filming after testing positive for COVID-19 in late July.

Back in July, it was revealed that Henry Cavill had tested positive for COVID-19 and will be taking a break from filming The Witcher Season 3 to recuperate. Although the lead star had to leave the set, it was reported that production continued for the third season, focusing on scenes that didn't feature Geralt of Rivia.

Luckily, it looks like Henry Cavill has fully recovered from the virus. A new report from Redanian Intelligence confirms that the Justice League star has returned to the set of the Netflix series.

Although it's great that Cavill is now ready to resume work on The Witcher Season 3, his absence still delayed the production. This means that the end of filming will be pushed back and the series is expected to complete production by early September. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Henry Cavill may have taken a break from The Witcher Season 3 but his social media posts confirm that the Enola Holmes actor was still active during his quarantine. Cavill had previously shared some images on his official Instagram account detailing how he had worked on fixing his computer yet again.

The Witcher Season 3 will bring back Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allen as Princess Ciri, and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengenberg. The premise of the third season has not yet been revealed but it is believed that the series will continue to adapt parts of Andrzej Sapkowski's books Blood of Elves and most of Time of Contempt.

For now, The Witcher Season 3 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
