The production for a handful of television shows and movies are getting delayed along with big events and gatherings due to coronavirus concerns. An addition to that list is the hit Netflix series starring Henry Cavill.

Per Redanian Intelligence, production for the second season of The Witcher will be delayed for at least two weeks. The outlet says emails were sent out to the cast and crew to let them know that they won't be filming over the next two weeks, and possibly, even longer, depending on the situation.

The Witcher season two was supposed to wrap up in August of this year to be released sometime in 2021. However, the COVID-19 pandemic will certainly change how things will go and the site also has no idea what will happen for now.

Around late February, Cavill has started filming for the show and even shared a behind-the-scenes picture with his co-star Zeus, who portrays Geralt's adorable friend, Roach. The site also shared that the Witchers of Kaer Morhen have started filming earlier this month.

For now, there's no telling what happens after a period of two weeks so it's just a waiting game. Since people are required to stay at home amidst this pandemic, fans can rewatch the first season again to keep them occupied.

Although the show is slated next year, the second season of The Witcher does not have an official release date yet.
