The Witcher: Blood Origin Release Window Reportedly Revealed

It has been a long time since we got any updates on The Witcher: Blood Origin but it looks like we finally got some good news. The prequel show's release window this year may have been revealed and it could mean that the fantasy series is streaming on Netflix a lot sooner than expected!

The Witcher: Blood Origin was announced back in July 2020 but updates about the prequel show have been rare and far between. Luckily, we finally got our first glimpse at the new series in December last year.

So when can finally get to see the prequel series? An inside source has reportedly told Redanian Intelligence that The Witcher: Blood Origin is set to premiere on Netflix in October 2022. If this is true, we may finally get to see the show by Fall this year.

We're loving the idea of Blood Origin being streamed a lot sooner than expected considering that there were speculations that the show would be delayed to next year. However, it is also important to remember that the release window has not been confirmed by Netflix and should be taken with a grain of salt.

The Witcher: Blood Origin is set 1200 years before the events of the main series and will depict the creation of the first Witcher. In addition to that, the show will follow the events leading to the "Conjunction of the Spheres" and the ancient Elven civilization before its demise.

Blood Origin will star Sophia Brown, Laurence O'Fuarain, Lenny Henry, Mirren Mack, Nathaniel Curtis, Dylan Moran, and Michelle Yeoh. For now, the Witcher prequel has not yet been given an official release date. However, this could be announced during the Netflix Geeked Week event in June. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
