The Wheel of Time Episode 6 was visually stunning. The Aes Sedai are color-coded less subtly than their book counterparts, but the show does a good job at demonstrating garments that feel appropriate for this type of fantasy, yet unique. Removed from brutal action, the White Tower is full of delicious intrigue, but we expect Episode 7 to be action-packed in comparison.

We still don't know who the Dragon Reborn is - or even if it's just one person. But just as things look up for Moiraine and the five, a new separation makes us highly uncertain for the future.

Warning: Episode 6 Spoilers Below! Proceed with caution!

The episode starts with a flashback revealing the background of the Amyrlin Seat' the leader of the Aes Sedai. Brought up by her father in a fishing village as Siuan Sanche, she had to flee to the White Tower when her village was attacked due to her channeling.

In the present time, Siuan Sanche questions Moiraine and Liandrin for their misconduct with regard to Logaine. Additionally, the Amyrlin seat demands to know of Moiraine's whereabouts, but she refuses to answer, angering her superior.

The scene is quite perplexing, but all comes together later on. At night, Moiraine visits Siuan Sanche, revealing that they're lovers. As a former blue Ajah, the Amyrlin seat must keep up with appearances and avoid showing favoritism. Moiraine begs her to punish her with exile, as the blue order will otherwise force her to stay in the tower. Recognizing the importance of determining who is the Dragon Reborn, Siuan accepts, although doing so devastates her.

Moiraine finds Mat and Rand, and reveals the cause of Mat's odd behavior. A cursed dagger that corrupts anyone holding it. Moiraine manages to heal him. Following the announcement of her exile, she reunites the five villagers. Together they go to a Waygate, which will allow them all to travel to The Eye of the World. Think of Mordor, if the brief glimpse is any indication. In short, the Eye of the World is the Dark One's prison. Taking all the Dragon candidates there, Moiraine hopes that the true Dragon Reborn and his or her intentions will become apparent.

Things go horribly wrong, however, as Mat hesitates. The gate closes, and the rest are forced to go on without him.
