Chandler Riggs is maybe out of The Walking Dead universe after leaving the show during its eighth season in 2018, but he still has high hopes for its upcoming yet-to-be-titled spinoff, Rick & Michonne.
For eight seasons, Riggs played the role of Rick Grime's (Andrew Lincoln) son, Carl. As Rick & Michonne will see Rick and Michonne (Danai Gurira) fight for their love and be with each other again after the former's disappearance, the young actor wants it to have the happy ending that The Walking Dead deserves.
Chandler Riggs Reveals Hopes for Rick & Michonne
In an interview with Screen Rant for RWBY x Justice League: Superheroes and Huntsmen Part One, Riggs revealed his hopes for the upcoming The Walking Dead spinoff.
"I have been wanting to actually visit their set for a while because I hear they're doing some amazing work over there," the 23-year-old said.

"I'm hoping that it gets the ending that this whole universe deserves. It has such a long-standing legacy with so many spinoffs, and so many stories that are going on," he continued. "I really hope this last one just wraps it all up really nicely and closes it up. I don't think it'll come out for quite some time. So, we'll have to wait and see."
Rick's Fight for His Family
The Walking Dead began with Rick fighting to reunite with his family after being separated due to the zombie apocalypse.
In Rick & Michonne, fans will once again see the former sheriff's deputy on a journey to find and be reunited with his love.

The Walking Dead Reunion Fans Have Been Waiting For
Rick & Michonne's filming is underway, and the leaked set footage reveals fans are about to witness The Walking Dead reunion fans have been waiting for.
Rick and Michonne are finally back together. The clip shows that they're running for their lives with the zombies behind them.
In another video, as obtained by Den of Geek, the two manage to escape from the horde of walkers by hopping into a yellow pickup truck.

This scene is probably not the first time the two meet, confirming they will finally be together in Rick & Michonne.
