The spinoff The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne has finished filming, and the show's producers confirmed the news in an official statement on Twitter.

Rick & Michonne is one of the three upcoming spinoffs from The Walking Dead universe. After departing the flagship show, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) will take their love to another epic adventure together.

The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne Finishes Filming

In a tweet by TWDU Promos, it updated fans about the upcoming spinoff's filming and thanked everyone behind the camera after they finished the production.

"Thank you for creating the next world of The Walking Dead with us," it read.

"Your talent, energy, and enthusiasm through it all has been the thing that's gotten us through it all, bringing home a story more than a decade in the telling!" it continued. "This story will live on and our work with it; we're the ones who live!"

The series' showrunner Scott M. Gimple signed the note with the executive producers Gurira, Lincoln, Denise Huth, and Brian Bockrath.

The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star also gets credit as a writer and co-creator.

As the statement has a title Summit, this is believed to be the spinoff's working title and possibly not The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne.

The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne Details

According to Screen Rant, The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne is set to be out in 2024, following the release of the two other TWD spinoffs, The Walking Dead: Dead City and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.

Pollyanna McIntosh will join Lincoln and Gurira and reprise her role as Jadis, whom fans last saw on The Walking Dead: World Beyond.

The CRM will play a major role here, considering it's where Rick has been. So, the spinoff is expected to answer the questions about his whereabouts after his TWD exit.

Though there are no words yet if the show will continue after its season premiere, reports claimed it would be the start of Rick and Michonne's new journey together.
