The Suicide Squad: Peter Capaldi Reveals New Details About Mysterious DC Role

In case you missed it, former Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi has been cast in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad. But who is the Twelfth Doctor playing in the highly anticipated DC Extended Universe flick? Capaldi has just offered some interesting new details about his mysterious role.

Capaldi was recently in attendance at Fan Expo Canada in Toronto where he casually discussed how he prepared for production on a new project. Interestingly, he admitted that his new closely-shaved head is a result of certain preparations.

"I hope it's going to come back," Capaldi joked. "No, it's for — I can't — you know, at the moment I can't tell you, not because I don't want to tell you, but because I'm not allowed to tell you — but I'm going to be completely bald. So — and I said — so, they started it because they had to do some prosthetics. So, they had to take my hair back as much [as possible] and I said, 'Could you leave a little bit? Because I'm going to Toronto.' So, they left a little bit and we did some head casts, and stuff. And then I came here, so that's why. But when I go home, it's going to go again. All the way."

That's right, Capaldi had to shear off his hair for a new role. Considering that the only possible project that he's tied to right now is The Suicide Squad, it's safe to say that the World War Z actor will be one of the characters who will require a lot of prosthetics.

So who is Capaldi playing in The Suicide Squad? Our instincts tell us King Shark but that role has reportedly already been filled. Nevertheless, we're hoping to get some updates about Capaldi's role really soon.

The Suicide Squad is scheduled for release on August 6, 2021.
