A lot of intrigue surrounds Marvel Studios' highly anticipated X-Men reboot and despite Disney's massive acquisition of the Fox brand in 2019 which effectively gave them the rights to use the characters, we've yet to receive updates regarding the mutants' arrival to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Of course, it's understandable that the studio is trying to keep everything under wraps as much as possible because a project like that should definitely be taken as a huge deal. The question is, which director will Kevin Feige recruit to helm the reboot? Well, it turns out that Marvel Studios may not have to look any further as the Russo Brothers are just one call away.

In an interview with AP Entertainment, Joe and Anthony Russo opened up about the possibility of them helming the much-awaited mutant reboot, and unsurprisingly, they're more than willing to do it.

Joe even revealed that one of his prized possessions is a copy of Incredible Hulk #181 from 1974 where Wolverine officially made his Marvel debut. He said: "It's an important part of my comic book collection. Wolverine being so essential to the X-Men, of course, that would be a fun project to work on and find a new way into it."

The idea of the Russos being in charge of the X-Men film franchise actually sounds great and not as farfetched as one would think. Considering they've made the Avengers franchise a huge success, they could easily replicate it with another superhero team. Consider me on board.

That said, Marvel Studios' X-Men film is under development.
