The characters of ABC's cop drama go through their lives daily at high risk, and over the course of five seasons, there's been a couple of deaths already. So really, it wouldn't be surprising if another member gets killed off when the show returns for The Rookie Season 5 Episode 10, at least according to fans.
Fans Speculate Bailey Could Die in The Rookie Season 5 Episode 10
In The Rookie Season 5 Episode 9, John Nolan assisted Genny Bradford in settling into her new house. Fans shared their thoughts about this new dynamic on Reddit after seeing them interact. However, the fact that Nolan is Bailey Nune's fiancé presents a minor issue. And some think that Nolan and Genny's chemistry may cause problems for the teacher.
"Are they not setting us up for [Nolan and Genny to get together]? I assumed they were," a fan commented. "Maybe Bailey will die because she's so perfect, she can't exist anymore. I don't imagine Nolan cheating or Bailey breaking their engagement."
What are the Odds of Bailey Being Written Off?
True, Nolan and Bailey don't appear to be on the verge of a breakup in The Rookie Season 5. Except for Nolan's unwillingness to kill Rosalind Dyer to save Bailey and Bailey's negative vibes from Nolan's residence, they are happier than ever. So cutting out Bailey might be a "solution" if the writers wanted Nolan to meet Genny later on.
However, as one Reddit user pointed out, Bailey has already been in serious danger this season due to Rosalind. So why wouldn't they kill her? Of course, Episode 4 could have foreshadowed Bailey's death, but that seems doubtful.
Because television dramas have a habit of shocking us, Bailey could die in The Rookie Season 5 Episode 10. We'll just have to watch to find out.
The Rookie Season 5 Episode 10 Air Date
The Rookie Season 5 is on break for a month but will return in early January. It will also air on a new night and time, Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
The Rookie and its spinoff, The Rookie: Feds, will now air on the same night thanks to the shift from Sundays to Tuesdays. And, to kick off the new year, the network will instantly capitalize on the new schedule by airing a crossover between the two shows.
