The Nominees for The Game Awards 2021 Are Here!


The official list of nominees for The Game Awards 2021 was released on its official website early this week. This year and the previous year of the awards have been very interesting as we are in tough times for game developers and publishers due to delays, workflow changes, and various challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

So, without further ado, here are the official nominees for this year’s The Game Awards.

The nominees for the Game of the Year are Resident Evil Village, Metroid Dread, Deathloop, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and It Takes Two

Best Game Direction nominees are It Take Two, Deathloop, Psychonauts 2, Returnal, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

Best Narrative nominees are Deathloop, It Takes Two, Life Is Strange: True Colors, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and Psychonauts 2.

Best Performance nominees are Erica Mori (Alex Chen, Life is Strange: True Colors), Giancarlo Esposito ( Antón Castillo, Far Cry 6), Jason Kelly (Colt Vahn, Deathloop), Maggie Robertson (Alcina Dimitrescu, Resident Evil Village), and Ozioma Akagha (Julianna Blake, Deathloop.)

Best Multiplayer nominees are Back 4 Blood, Knockout City, It Takes Two, Monster Hunter Rise, New World, and Valheim.

Best Ongoing Game nominees are Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Warzone, Final Fantasy XIV, Genshin Impact, and Fortnite.

Best Art Direction nominees are Deathloop, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Psychonauts 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and The Artful Escape.

Best Score & Music nominees are Cyberpunk 2077, Deathloop, Nier Replicant ver. 1.22474487139, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Artful Escape.

Best Audio Design nominees are Deathloop, Forza Horizon 5, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Resident Evil Village, and Returnal.

Best Independent Game nominees are Death’s Door, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Inscryption, Loop Hero, and Twelve Minutes

Best Mobile Game nominees are Fantasian, Genshin Impact, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Marvel Future Revolution, and Pokémon Unite.
