I think we all know by now that The Mandalorian Season 3's main plot is centered on Mandalore being brought back to its former glory. Heading into this season, fans already had an idea of the "chosen one" who will fulfill the Mandalorian prophecy with the obvious choice being Din Djarin. In Season 2's epic finale, we learned that Mando was eligible to rule Mandalore after gaining possession of the Darksaber.

Another potential candidate for the throne is Bo-Katan Kryze and although she made it clear early on that she no longer has an interest in becoming the tribe's ruler, her close encounter with the Mythosaur in Episode 2 seemed to have changed her motives.

Since then, the show has evidently pivoted its story to focus on Bo-Katan's personal arc. In the latest Chapter, the beloved character was basically anointed by the Armorer as the one who will usher in a new age for Mandalore. While the prospect sounds incredibly engaging, a lot of fans can't help but question the direction the show is headed to.

In fact, many believe that Pedro Pascal is slowly becoming an afterthought in his own series.

To be fair, the show is called "The Mandalorian" after all and despite Din being the show's titular character, he hasn't always been its central figure. Now, that's not to say that Pedro Pascal is being sidelined this season and if you've been paying close attention to the story, Din is still being positioned as a potential heir to the Mandalore throne despite the shocking twist pulled by this week's episode.

The latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 3 is now streaming on Disney+.
