A few months removed from The Mandalorian Season 2's grand finale and fans are still gushing over Luke Skywalker's jaw-dropping comeback in the Star Wars franchise. What was initially thought to be a one-off cameo from the beloved character turned out to be something more as the famed Jedi master took Grogu aka Baby Yoda with him to begin his formal training and learn the ways to the Force. In case you didn't know, Mark Hamill was actually the one who shot some of his scenes in the finale but fans weren't too convinced.

After the finale aired, several cast members revealed that Hamill was actually on-set when they filmed the finale but everything was kept under wraps. Of course, a lot of fans thought were under the impression that Hamill was just there to pay his Lucasfilm colleagues a visit and that it was a stand-in guy that did all the work for him. Apparently, that's not the cast and as revealed by the upcoming Disney Gallery documentary centered on "The Rescue", the actor was indeed the one who shot his scenes as Luke. With Luke almost guaranteed to appear in Season 3, it'll be interesting to see if Lucasfilm will continue to make use of CGI despite the tremendous backlash and mockery it got from fans. It's highly likely that the production company will once again pull some CGI tricks up their sleeves but I think they would be foolish not to recast the character. It's safe to assume that Skywalker will play a larger role in Season 3 so the best option for them is to cast a different actor who at least resembles Hamill and of course, we all know a guy.
