Bella Ramsey just landed a cool new gig. The star of The Last of Us has been confirmed for a major role in the second season of the BBC series Time. But does this mean production on The Last of Us Season 2 could be delayed?

Deadline confirms that Bella Ramsey is joining the cast of Time Season 2. Ramsey will play Kelsey, a young woman who is incarcerated in a women's prison where she meets Orla and Abi. Orla is portrayed by former Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker while The Silent Twins actor Tamara Lawrance plays Abi.

It's an interesting new role for Bella Ramsey who has played strong young girls in her projects. She rose to fame for playing Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones and recently portrayed the 14-year-old Ellie in The Last of Us. Playing a convict is certainly different and we can't wait to see what Ramsey brings to the role.

Time was created by Jimmy McGovern and follows the newly imprisoned Marc Cobden (Sean Bean) as he struggles to adjust to prison life. When he meets the prison officer Eric McNally (Stephen Graham), Marc thinks things are finally going his way but dangerous inmates won't make it easy for the both of them.

Fans are understandably excited for Bella Ramsey but others are concerned about what the new major role in Time Season 2 could mean for the second season of The Last of Us. Some are convinced that production of the HBO series could be delayed as Ramsey takes on another project.

For now, the production start date for The Last of Us Season 2 has not yet been announced. However, Ramsey had previously pointed out that filming might begin by the end of the year or in early 2023.

All nine episodes of The Last of Us Season 1 are now streaming on HBO Max.
