The Last of Us Part II will have a Mode for Blind or Low-Vision Players

A lot of people are excited for the release of The Last of Us Part II next week, and with the game being promised as the largest that Naughty Dog has ever worked on, they've announced that the game will actually be accessible for more handicapped gamers who are differently abled.

According to PlayStation.com, the Accessibility Presets include Apply Vision Accessibility Preset, Apply Hearing Accessibility Preset, and Apply Motor Accessibility Preset. The game is also giving players the option to completely customize the controls for the game, depending on what would make them comfortable.

Personally, I think it's pretty great that Naughty Dog would consider adding these tweaks to the game that would be helpful for handicapped players. I'm sure there are some disabled people who could only turn to video games as a hobby, and it's pretty neat that they would be given the option to tweak the game so they could make it optimal for their enjoyment.

Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors. When a violent event disrupts that peace, Ellie embarks on a relentless journey to carry out justice and find closure. As she hunts those responsible one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.

The Last of Us Part II is set to come out on June 19.
