The Devil is a Part-Timer Season 2 Anime Release Confirmed

It has been a long wait but the part-timing Devil King is back! The Devil is a Part-Timer! has been confirmed for a second season and we have the first trailer and key visual for the upcoming anime.

The announcement was made by Maousama on Twitter along with the key visual for The Devil is a Part-Timer! Season 2. Check it out below.

An official teaser was also released and it features most of the main characters from the first season. We get to see Sadao Maou once again serving up the customers of WcDonalds while Emi Yusa is still hard at work as a telemarketer. The teaser suggests we'll be catching up with the Devil King and the Hero Emilia after all this time.

The first season of The Devil is a Part-Timer! aired back in 2013 and fans were understandably concerned that the anime would not get a follow-up. However, the second season was confirmed in celebration of the light novel's 10th anniversary. Needless to say, eight years is a long time but we're happy to catch up with the Devil soon.

The Devil is a Part-Timer! is based on the light novel series written by Satoshi Wagahara and illustrated by Oniku. Like the light novel, the anime follows the Devil King as he ends up in modern-day Tokyo after being defeated by the Hero Emilia. Struggling to survive in the city, he takes the name Sadao Maou and gets a job as a fast-food worker.

Interestingly, the Hero Emilia tracks him down and faces the same dilemma. In turn, she decides to work as a telemarketer.

The Devil is a Part-Timer! Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
