The Boys Showrunner Shares Promising Update on Season 4

A lot of fans have been looking forward to the fourth season of the hit Amazon series The Boys after its acclaimed third season last year. So far, we haven't heard any significant update although production has been going on for the season for several months now.

Fortunately, as we've been patiently waiting for the show's next season, we finally have a recent new update from showrunner Eric Kripke on Twitter. He revealed that he is now preparing for the filming of the fourth season finale in Toronto.

In addition, Kripke also assured fans that the fourth season finale will NOT be the show's final episode and they are planning to continue the show beyond it. However, he played coy regarding the fourth season's target premiere date.

"Cause you're asking! We've been shooting since late August. I'm here to prep & direct the Season 4 finale. No, not the series finale, there will be more! Most importantly, S4 premieres... at some point in the future in our discernible reality," he wrote.

It is exciting to hear that they are now nearing the end of filming the fourth season since it is a sign that they might air it later this year or early 2024 if the post-production process went longer than expected. It is also nice to see that Kripke himself is involved as the director of the episode.

It is also nice to see an assurance that the upcoming season will not be its last season which is also not surprising since the show has been a major hit on Amazon and they might want it to continue as long as the team behind the series wants.

We should be hearing more news and updates about the upcoming season in the coming months as they're nearing close to its filming and are set to begin the post-production process soon.
