The Boys Season 4 stars Tomer Capone (Frenchy), Laz Alonso (Mother's Milk), and Karen Fukuhara (Kimiko), in a recent interview, shared their thoughts on what fans can expect in the future. All three actors also talked about the casting of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who has become one of the latest mysteries of the hit Prime Video series.

The Boys Season 4: Diverse, Beardless & Reckless

When asked to describe The Boys Season 4 in one word, each actor chose one in turn.

Capone said "diverse," which could have a variety of ironic or sincere meanings. While the show has previously featured LGBTQ+ and minority characters, it has also frequently satirized the self-satisfied nature with which those in power attempt to engage in shallow identity politics.

Alonso, who appears to have lost his iconic facial hair for the new season, responded with "beardless." which may appear to be a sly nod toward his softening character arc. MM's relationship with his daughter grew stronger and more vulnerable in Season 3, and this relationship will most likely continue to grow and challenge him.

Fukuhara used the word "reckless," which is both ambiguous and enticing. There is no telling where The Boys Season 4 will take the narrative if it is truly reckless.

The Boys Stars Share Thoughts On Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Casting

Despite the fact that the actors said they had started filming The Boys Season 4 in Canada, Morgan hasn't appeared in any of their scenes, and they haven't even met the actor.

"We have yet to meet him or see him and he hasn't been on set," Alonso revealed. "So we're just kind of waiting.”

Morgan has blended in seamlessly with the group of The Boys since his entrance in Season 4 was announced in late summer. The actors of the show instantly established the tone, and welcomed Morgan with a group-style flash of middle fingers in a social media photo.

Fans are hopeful that the actor's captivating wit and menace will be fully released in the foul-mouthed and graphic Boys series, not to mention the palpable excitement of watching The Boys star Karl Urban go head-to-head with Morgan onscreen.

The Boys Season 4 Details, Release Date

Recent set photos from The Boys Season 4 have already teased some unexpected turns, such as the return of Black Noir, whose insides were ripped out by Homelander at the conclusion of Season 3.

According to Kripke, Vought won't let a valuable asset like Noir be wasted just because he passed away.

"It's definitely not the last we've seen of Black Noir as a hero. It's just that the guy who was inside [the Noir suit] in season 3, he's gone," Kripke explained. "But we have Nathan playing a really interesting and hilarious character who wears the suit next season."

The Boys Season 4 will arrive on Amazon Prime Video in 2023.
