The Boys Season 3 Trailer Offers New Look at Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy

Fans have been looking forward to the third season of The Boys which is looking to be the biggest season as teased by the second season finale cliffhanger and the teaser trailers that they've released so far. After more than a year of waiting since the second season aired, we finally have our first full look at the next installment of the hit series.

Prime Video has released the official trailer for the third season of The Boys. In the show's usual fashion, the footage contained a lot of violent and raunchy scenes that teased what we should expect in the upcoming season with Billy Butcher committing himself even further to his fight against Vought International.

We also saw a look at Homelander, who may or may not be closer to losing himself and unleashing his most violent side yet. However, the main highlight of the trailer is the introduction of Supernatural star Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, a Captain America-esque character who is looking like he has no-holds-barred when it comes to fighting his adversaries.

You can check the trailer below:

Based on the footage, it looks like the show's quality and tone will remain the same as we saw a lot of gruesome moments which is very much in alignment with the show and the comics that it is based on. It also seems that Billy Butcher and Homelander will be at the forefront of the season once again and Soldier Boy looks like he is going to be a huge player. Hopefully, the season will consistently deliver the same entertainment and quality as the previous ones as fans have been dying to see what the show has in store next.

The third season of The Boys' logline reads: "It’s been a year of calm. Homelander’s subdued. Butcher works for the government, supervised by Hughie of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So when The Boys learn of a mysterious anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into The Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy."

The cast includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Jensen Ackles.
