Jack Quaid, reprising his role along with the unruly ensemble in The Boys Season 3, has warned fans the upcoming installment will be the show's most messed up yet.

The Boys, based on the comic series of the same name, follows the titular squad of vigilantes as they attempt to bring down superpowered individuals who abuse their abilities. The series immediately became known for including explicit sequences of nudity and violence in order to challenge the idea that the superhero genre is family-friendly.

The Boys Season 3 to ‘Tackle New Territory’

In an interview with The Wrap, Quaid discusses how The Boys Season 3 will be unlike anything else the series has done previously. He goes on to say that the next season would be full of character development and the series' trademark wild moments.

Quaid also discussed filming the third season, adding that it was the most fun he'd ever had on set, with the show's established cast and crew able to make it more efficient than before.

"I think this season is our best yet. I'm very biased obviously, but it's a season that's even more messed up than the ones we've done so far. There's a lot of those signature messed up Boys moments," Quaid said.

The actor also revealed that The Boys Season 3 will "tackle a lot of new territory," then adding: "I think you see our characters in places that you've never really seen them before."

Erik Kripke on The Boys’ ‘Herogasm’ Storyline

Showrunner Eric Kripke has previously confirmed that the new season will adapt the "Herogasm" narrative, which will be centered on superhero orgy festivals. The storyline will be presented in the sixth episode of the upcoming season, which will be titled "Herogasm."

Kripke has also stated that the opening episode of The Boys Season 3 will include the series' most ambitious set piece to date.

The Boys Season 3 is just a few months away, so there will be plenty more madness for people who are sick of the family-friendly tone that most superhero material takes.

The new season will premiere on June 3 with three episodes, with additional episodes released every Friday until the spectacular season finale on July 8.
