The Book of Boba Fett: Star Wars Begins the Hype with Long Awaited Trailer

The Mandalorian's thrilling second season featured the grand homecoming of beloved anti-hero, Boba Fett, to the Star Wars Universe and just when we thought the famed bounty hunter was done for following his fatal fall into the Sarlacc Pit in Return of the Jedi, Fett is apparently alive and well and was just waiting for the opportune time to resurface and claim what he thinks is rightfully his.

Unsurprisingly, Temuera Morrison's live-action comeback to the franchise after 15 years was met with a generally positive reception from the Star Wars fandom and little did we know that Lucasfilm had major plans for the returning character who is now set to headline his own Disney+ spinoff show The Book of Boba Fett.

Speaking of, Lucasfilm just unveiled the action-packed trailer for the show and it's nothing short of spectacular. Following the events of The Mandalorian Season 2 and that little post-credits scene featuring Boba and Fennec Shand, the show will revolve around the bounty hunter heading back to Tatooine and his siege of Jabba the Hutt's palace. Turns out, it would take more for him and Shand to take over the underworld.

Judging by the trailer, The Book of Boba Fett still carries the overall "Space Western" tone of The Mandalorian but despite that, it still feels like its own thing which is of course a good thing. I'm totally excited to see how the show expands the MandoVerse and I can also definitely see it becoming a hit.

The Book of Boba Fett streams on December 29th exclusively on Disney+.
