The Book of Boba Fett Episode 5 Recap: The Return of the Mandalorian

It might be The Book of Boba Fett Wednesday but the latest episode of the Star Wars series felt like it was from a different show. However, it shouldn't be a huge surprise considering that this has been teased last week. Still, Episode 5 featured a lot of unexpected yet awesome cameos that had fans cheering for more! SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

In The Book of Boba Fett Episode 5, we catch up with Din Djarin, who has been chasing down a bounty. Interestingly, he kills the bounty using the Darksaber that he won from the fight against Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian Season 2. When he returns to the Mandalorian hideout, he is told by the Armorer of the weapon's importance to their people.

This leads to Paz Vizsla going after Djarin, challenging him to a duel in an effort to reclaim the Darksaber. However, Djarin defeats him and keeps the weapon. Still, Djarin decides to leave the clan after it is revealed that he had removed his helmet.

So what happens to Mando? He decides it's time to head for Tatooine where he visits Peli Motto in Mos Eisley because she has a new N-1 starfighter he could use. They work on its modifications and Djarin successfully takes it on a test flight that puts him on the New Republic's radar.

Luckily, Djarin manages to evade them and just when you are thoroughly convinced you are watching the premiere episode of The Mandalorian Season 3, Fennec Shand shows up to ask him to work with Boba Fett. Djarin agrees but points out he will have to visit Grogu first.

The Book of Boba Fett Episode 5 was an interesting distraction from the upcoming war against the Pyke Syndicate. Still, we'll be expecting huge things to happen next week.

The Book of Boba Fett Episode 5 is titled Chapter Five: The Return of the Mandalorian. It is now streaming on Disney+.
